I was brought up in a small village in Southern Ireland, surrounded by the spectacular beauty of the Wicklow Mountains and the rugged coastline of the Irish Sea. I feel that living in Ireland first sparked off my desire to write; it was so rich in both scenery and characters that it literally invited me to put pen to paper.
I don't remember a time when I wasn't scribbling. As a child I wrote adventure stories and a one-act play that won a competition. I became editor of my school magazine, which gave me great training for working into the night and meeting deadlines. Happily, ten years later Harlequin Mills and Boon accepted my first book, Designed With Love.
I now live in the North-West of England, with my husband and two step-sons. I love to travel and seek out exotic locations for my books, and I always find that meeting new people is great for inspiration. I’m passionate about writing romantic fiction and my aim is to identify with my readers and take them along with me on the journey.
Currently I am working on my next book and can often be found walking my dogs in the Lake District as I think about my plots.
