With a background in medical technology and a passion for storytelling, it is no wonder I started to write medical romances. I wrote my first story about a prince (and myself) at the age of eight, and haven’t stopped telling stories since.
After training and working in medical laboratories, I took six months out to learn to fly. It turned out to be the most exhilarating – and terrifying – thing I have ever done. With my Private Pilot's license in hand I wasn't ready to return to work, so I headed to Vancouver for six months where I discovered coffee, hot spicy food – and learning to drive on the wrong side of the road. That was a skill not always appreciated when I returned to New Zealand. Flying in Canada was different too. Once up in the sky there were no easy coastlines to follow as the country is so huge compared to little old NZ.
I currently live with my husband in the Marlborough Sounds at the top of NZ's South Island, where we enjoy walking in the bush-clad hills and partaking in various water sports. When time allows I like to cycle around the Sounds roadways and have a plan to do a longer road trip in the near future.
My other great passion is cooking. In summer I have so much fun creating meals and treats for friends to enjoy on our deck overlooking the bay. This is also the time of the year when the vegetable garden goes crazy and I can’t keep up with all the yummy things that turn up on my patch.
