An Exciting New Debut, 4½Stars 🌟

Rating By Clare,17/08/2018

Ms. Ann McIntosh's debut book The Nurse's Pregnancy Miracle is a captivating emotional story of heartbreak and second chances, set in the fictional Lauderlakes Family Medical Center. Nurse Nychelle Cory was born into a family of overachievers; she has never fulfilled her ‘potential’ (according to her parents), her last relationship ended when she found out her boyfriend was cheating on her and using her for her familiar connections to further his career, leaving Nychelle disillusioned. A childhood illness means that she may not be able to have the family she has longer for, so she is determined to go it alone using IVF, before it's too late. However, Nychelle hadn't accounted for Dr. David Warmington otherwise known, at the clinic as Dr Heat! David has recently moved to the area and is new at the clinic, but it isn't long before Nychelle and David are thrown together, firstly by helping a patient which reawakens painful memories for David. Although David has his own reasons for not wanting to get involved the more time he spends with Nychelle and gets to know her, the more he wants her especially when he misunderstands and believes Nychelle can not have children. With past heartbreaks clouding their judgement can David and Nychelle overcome their fears and trust in one another to embrace their HEA and have the family they both deserve? Ms Ann McIntosh’s debut book is a beautifully written story of second chances, with the characters issues covered with a sensitivity and understanding that make the book such an enjoyable read. Congratulations for an outstanding debut, I know I won't be alone in losing myself in your future releases including perhaps revisiting Lauderlakes Family Medical Center and the staff. I received my copy from Netgalley and Mills and Boon via Mills and Boon Insiders, but this does not influence my opinions as all opinions are my own.
