‘Choosing a wife is not a task that should be undertaken lightly.’

Bennett Montague, sixteenth Duke of Aveley, is seeking the perfect bride. He’s narrowed his search to five worthy ‘Potentials’…until the arrival of his aunt’s companion unravels his carefully laid plans.

Having fought for everything she has, Amelia Mansfield is incensed by Bennett’s wife selection methods. But as she’s forced to spend time in his company, she begins to see another side to Bennett – and that man is infinitely more tantalising and enticing …

A great book by a great author

Rating By Michelle,13/03/2017

I'm not going to give too much away, all I will say is this a MUST READ This is the second book that I have read of Virginia's and I loved it. We start off with Amelia Mansfield who is a companion to Lady Worsted, Amelia had being reading a book called The Discerning Gentleman's Guide, Amelia slammed the book down and called it drivel (already I loved Amelia). Bennett Montague the Sixteenth Duke of Avely, he had written the book for his father, because Bennett felt he had to find the right wife for his political career, and this were the potentials come in these are 5 well bred girls who could help Bennett with his career. Amelia is a girl who was born into wealth, but through no fault off her own or her late mother, they found themselves being extremely poor and after Amelia's mother passed away Amelia was determined to get out off poverty and make a good life for herself. In some ways Bennett reminded me of my late dad, because my dad always stood with his hands behind is back (that's partly because my dad was in the Para's). Also Uncle George is one to look out for he is great, and Amelia's nickname for Bennett is the Duke of Pomposity, all will become clear. I give this book 5/5 stars loved every second of it.
