A fragile beauty that tamed the beast within…

Relentless Italian Raffaele Petri needs reclusive researcher Lily Nolan to see his revenge plans come to fruition. But the damaged beauty is feisty, argumentative and all-too intriguing to be ignored!

Scarred as a child, Lily shut herself away from cruel prying eyes, so working for a man as breathtakingly handsome as Raffaele makes her own physical imperfections harder to bear. Until Raffaele’s kisses awaken the untouched woman inside.

As Raffaele’s retribution draws closer, Lily must use her new-found strength to help him release the torment eating at his soul. But will Raffaele risk his vengeance for her love?

Not the usual Modern genre !

Rating By Arpita,19/07/2016

Again this Modern genre romance has the skeins of Desire, Temptation and Medical genres woven into it. It is as the blurb says a reversal of gender roles which to many readers would seem difficult to accept especially when one lives in a place where the norm is that the male gender has defined roles to play in reality. Why would anyone spend their money in reading a book which has underlying pathos till the very end? Modern genre in an escapism into a world of fantasy where most aspects of life is near perfect !

Very disappointing, not like the usual Modern genre!

Rating By Arpita,20/07/2016

Reversal of gender roles and persona is not to one's liking for many readers of Modern genre. The beast being a woman is unacceptable! In some countries it may be the norm to try new ideas but then it should follow other templates like DESIRE, TEMPTATION or MEDICAL because in the Modern genre one would like to escape into a fantasy world which is close to near perfection, which will bring joy and happiness. There are so many out there who live the harsh reality of physical conditions day in and day out so why should such a person spend money to bring sadness. Think about it! There has to be issues and problems but that should fit into the correct template! Sorry this is MY opinion and view.

The flaw in Raffaele's Revenge

Rating By Dorothy,03/08/2016

have to start my review by saying I have never read an Annie West book that I didn't fall in love with both the book and the hero. I immediately fell in love with Raffaele but I absolutely adore Lily. Ms. West continues to bring the best of the best in romance books and I honestly don't know how she can get any better than the awesome writer she is but she constantly goes up the next level with each story. Raffaele Petri is out for revenge, Lily Nolan is only interested in solitude. Mix the two together and you have an amazing story. Lily is excellent at her job but likes to stay in the background as she is scarred and hates the pity looks she gets. Raffaele is only interested in hurting someone who is responsible for the death of his sister when he was a child. He needs Lilly to exact his revenge so he forces her out of her comfort zone and that is the only thing I will tell you about the story as you must read this book to truly appreciate both Raffaele and Lily and to also be amazed by the talent of Annie West. Get a comfortable spot, grab the book and truly enjoy an incredible story from start to finish. A keeper.
