Emotional,dramatic and exciting read!

Rating By Arpita,27/02/2014

Another superb, riveting, entertaining romance from a great writer. True to her style of writing for modern genre she has a simple storyline, most exquisite and scintillating conversation which never becomes boring and the love of the couple is so evident for the reader who can empathise with them. A must read for romantics of any age!

One of the author's better books

Rating By R,21/02/2014

I enjoyed this much more than most of Ms Lucas' books simply because I found the plot much more believable than usual although there were some aspects which still left me bemused. On the whole I was quite happy for this to be in the Modern genre because I do think there still are heartwarming women like Irene who do have strong moral beliefs although I was rather disappointed with the development of her character (no spoilers). If I was indifferent to Sharif at the beginning I came to respect and admire him as the story progressed. I can't say anything other than that I mostly enjoyed it. Eight out of ten

Not What You Expect

Rating By Karen,15/02/2014

A fair story with some interesting characters (and some not so interesting caricatures), but nothing really happens. If this story had been marketed in the Cherish line I wouldn't be quite so disappointed. The only 'modern' elements were the scenic descriptions of the UAE. Everything else from start to finish felt like the story was written decades ago, with dated sensibilities and behaviours. If your idea of a modern story is to have a couple of kisses (quite literally) and a heroine who has "tears streaming down her face" from one page to the next, this is the story for you. Unfortunately, it's not what I expect from the Modern line at all.

Wow! I think Jennie Lucas just wrote her best ever book . I agree with the other reviews an epilogue was necessary.

Emotionally intense and exceptionally tender. So romantic. Agree with other reviewer that it needed an epilogue, felt cheated.

Very good, very emotional and intense between the two characters. The hero was like a breath of fresh air....or maybe that's just me. This was enjoyable though the end felt just a little rushed. I could see me re-reading this as some point in the future.

highly recommended

I really liked this one!!! I like that Sharif and Irene were not like any other characters that have read. Ms. Lucas ' writing style is fresh and funny. My only real complaint: THE BOOK NEEDED AN EPILOGUE!!!!!!!

I have read many books by this author and I have to say that this was another great book. I enjoyed the way the story is very well developed with rich, funny main characters, nice story arc and leaves a smile on your face at the end. I hope Jennie Lucas can write another sheikh book soon!!

I keep dreaming about this guy

It stole most of my weekend, but it was worth it! I absolutely love this book. Now I became addicted to sheikh heroes.

Possibly my favorite M&B ever. the heroine feels fresh and interesting to me ( ordinary but so centered) she is so lovely, funny and brave. I truly adore the characters and the hero is hot!! but I agree with the previous comment ... an epilogue would have been nice.
