Rousing finale.

This is the final instalment of The Sydney Harbour Hospital series and I particularly enjoyed the way the author incorporated most of the characters from earlier books into this story. Janes is a perfect hero. I did come quite close to a permanent dislike of Ava who I felt was irrational in her grief at past events thinking James perhaps deserved better but she never quite crossed that line. It was hard to understand how two such intelligent people could not realise what the other was going through and also rather disappointing that neither friends nor family apparently never attempted to get the couple grief counselling they needed. The tension was racked up skilfully and when it all worked out in the end there was that warm glow of satisfaction.. One of Mrs Marinelli's best novels in what has been one of the most entertaining M&B mini-Series ever. The secret is knowing when exactly to stop and for me this is the right point. So RIP to Sydney Harbour Hospital and thanks for the memories and great reading. Ten out of ten.

Captivating!

These Medical mini-series are just getting better and better. And Carol Marinelli's book was a great ending where we got news of all the previous characters which i must say is always a great plus. However there is always an unfinished impression when we don't get the ending of Finn and Evie's story. Please let us know how those two got their happy ending. Otherwise stop teasing us with these characters that we get attached to as much as the main characters of each book.

Finn and Evie are coming!

Very good book in a great series

Have really enjoyed this series and this book was no exception. Ava and James were really enjoyable characters and their story was well told. It was a full story, having been together for so long there was a lot of substance to this story, the background to their relationship. This book demonstrated how grief can affect even the strongest of relationships. It was wonderful there was a link with all the past characters really made this book part of the series, as I know I had grown so fond of them all. The only thing that would make this book better is more Finn and Evie - they really need their own book!!! Please? There story has not ended.

Loved the culmination of this series. Ava was a fabulous heroine and James the perfect hero. I loved the way he pushed her away when he was ill. It was perfectly done and reflected back on how she had treated him. This whole book was a real page turner and is definitely a keeper!
