About Lacy

When I was thirteen, I remember my mother confiscating Judy Blume’s Wifey from me after reading the first page. My aunt was there at time and she laughed, gave me a wink, and took the book so she could read it herself. I was less than impressed. It was the only book I had with me on vacation! But more that, I wanted to know why my mother didn’t want me reading it. I found it intriguing that just one page from a book could evoke such worry in my mother and laughter from my aunt at the same time.
From that day forward, I was hooked on romance – especially romance that had some form of sex in it. Of course my idea of what’s hot is way different from what it was then, but I still can’t get enough of that heart pounding rush that comes from reading something hot and sexy.

I didn’t know I was a writer until much later in life. After two kids and several careers (photography, software, management…) I decided to see if I could create that same intense rush in others that I always got from reading a good story. I found that I loved writing. The creativity it involves, the idea that you are letting the world see a little bit of your mind in each scene you write. Creating a sexy scene is much more satisfying than reading one.

Besides writing (which, when I’m in the zone, is an all-encompassing obsession) I enjoy spending time with my kids and my friends. I love to ride horses and garden, as well as sitting back with a good glass of wine and watching the world go by.
