Connect with Laurie
I grew up on a farm in Kentucky, four miles from the Tennessee border, with four older brothers and two older sisters.
Before I started school my family moved to town and that's when I discovered the library for the first time and fell head over heels in love with books. I have a degree in Maths, spent years travelling around the U.S. whilst working in the space and missiles business... and met my husband, Bob, in a sweet shop.
I've always been a true believer in the power of love, and my advice to those whose life and marriage may seem impossible at the moment, is to remember: all the reasons you fell in love are still there, perhaps buried under worries and responsibility. Find them again, then hang in there. Truly, the best is yet to come.
