I first became published in January 1996, and since then I’ve been blessed to become a Waldenbooks, Borders, USA Today, Publisher’s Weekly and New York Times bestselling author of more than eighty or so novellas and novels. (Yes, I’ve lost count. After a while, between new books and reissues and soon-to-be-released books, it becomes impossible to tally them up.) I started with Harlequin category books, then wrote for Kensington, Berkley, a few stories for St. Martins, and currently I’m back at Harlequin, writing single titles for HQN.
Along with my good friend, Duffy Brown and some truly amazing volunteers who make it all possible, I host a very special annual Reader & Author event in West Chester, Ohio. Proceeds from the event have benefitted so many wonderful causes. Mostly these are charities that are local to me because I think it’s very important to help your own community first and foremost – this is why I started my 'benefit books' which are anthologies that feature stories from me and other wonderful authors of my choosing where the advance and royalties go to local causes. It’s the gift that keeps on giving, since books continue to sell and royalties continue to accumulate.
I’ve been fortunate to receive many prestigious awards, including Romantic Times Career Achievement Award for Series Romantic Fantasy and Contemporary Romance, Bestselling Original Contemporary romance title for The Secret Life of Brian and Bestselling Romantic Comedy romance title for Jude's Law. I love the awards, but I really get a kick out of being a clue in the New York Times crossword puzzle and the USA Today Quick Cross puzzle.
Please visit my website on the social links for a complete listing of my books, my related series, my social networks, and special appearances and events. I love, love, LOVE visiting with readers on my social pages! (Check out my Man Candy board on Pinterest! It’s very popular!)
Thank you everyone! You make this writing gig so very fun. :-)
