"A sucessful debut novel, this is an emotional story written in a compelling style with a dark and brooding but personable hero and complex but empathetic heroine.
I was personally disappointed at the lack of secondary characters though and Nic's background was never properly explained. Although his mother was Greek and the setting was in that country I presume from the name Olief Marcussen that his father was Scadinavian? but apart from one brief reference to his looking like a Viking no explanation was given as to Nic'c actual nationality.
My interest was certainly maintained throughout the book and I look forward to further novels by this author.
