Risking it all?
World-renowned gallery owner Rafe D’Angelo has firm boundaries for his romantic conquests and is notorious for leaving ladies wanting more. Which is why it’s such a shock to wake and find – for the first time ever – the sheets beside him cold…
Nina Palitov’s only act of defiance against a life lived under her father’s oppressive control was to spend an exquisite night with Rafe. But Nina should have known that this D’Angelo relishes a challenge. His pursuit of her provokes a passion she’s never experienced before, but with her family’s deepest secret at risk it’s essential she doesn’t become Rafe’s latest prize!

I usually like Carole Mortimer but, this story didn't grab me. Not sure if I would recommend this book.
An excellent continuation
An excellent continuation of the next brother in this series.A Carole Mortimer book is always a well worth read compared to a lot of new authors there is always so much emotion and passion involved.
Lacking the author's usual sparkle
The second of the D'Angelo Brothers trio centres on the middle brother Rafe.
I had reservations about him when introduced in the first book and was interested to see how Mrs Mortimer would develop his character. Unfortunately, I didn't find him particularly appealing and thought his sense of humour rather juvenile. Nina furthermore was a slightly colourless heroine.
The author does create some of her usual exciting tension but unusually for me overall I felt this book lacked the sparkle I would normally expect from her.
Six out of ten
Enthralling, emotional and dramatic !
An enthralling, saucy, sizzling, sensual love story from another inspiring writer of the Modern genre. It is always entertaining to read Carole Mortimer’s stories and in particular ‘ A Prize beyond Jewels’, part of a trilogy. The storyline and romance is simple, focused and the conversation between Rafe and Nina is riveting. It shows love does not need a long span, it can happen over a short period of time too! A must read for all who are still young at heart!
