The Spaniard’s Untouched Bride, 4 Stars 🌟

Rating By Clare,13/12/2018

Camilla Alvarez has spent her life being allowed to do whatever she pleases, her father treated her as the son he never had and her mother was gone, off with one of her many lovers; despite this to Camilla it was an idyllic existence the rancho was her home and the horses were her friends and family. But when her father passes away suddenly she is left with nothing, her rancho and her beloved horses gone, the life she has known for the last 22 years is being sold off to settle her father's debts leaving Camilla with nothing, alone and homeless. Neighboring Business Man Matias Navarro is the new owner of Camilla’s home and horses; so when his staff come to take possession of the Alvarez horses, Camilla begs and pleads for a job, only to be told “He doesn’t hire women”. With nothing to lose Camilla feels her only solution is to pretend to be a young stable boy in order to stay close to her beloved horses. Once on Matias's rancho it is Camilla’s intention to work hard and keep her head down until a minor accident results in her having to move into the main house, making her the perfect substitute bride when her deception comes to light and Matias's Fiancé is stolen. But what starts off as a temporary business arrangement soon becomes something more for them both, and as Matias teaches Camilla there is more to life than her horses, can Camilla teach Matias to face his fears and embrace her love to live HEA! Ms. Maisey Yates is a New York Times bestselling author and is one of my go to writers her characters are well rounded and captivating, so if you enjoy romance then you won't be disappointed. The Spaniard's Untouched Bride is the first book in Ms. Maisey Yates latest miniseries Brides of Innocence, which although it is primarily Camilla and Matias’s story, Ms Maisey Yates has cleverly woven a tantalizing glimpse into Matias's brother Diego's story, so if you enjoyed this book then Kidnapping His Virgin Bride, Diego and Liliana's story is set to be a wonderful sequel. I received my copy from Netgalley and Mills and Boon via Mills and Boon Insiders, but this does not influence my opinions as all opinions are my own.

Without question Maisey Yates a really good story teller

Rating By suzanne ,29/11/2018

The Spaniard’s Untouched Bride is a modern book by Maisey Yates. I like reading Mills & Boon books as most are only 192 pages, with being a small book, easy to pack in your suitcase wherever you are traveling too. In The Spaniard’s Untouched Bride, Camillia Alverez, father died, the ranch that Camillia had grown up in had to be sold to cover her fathers debts, with everything going to Matias Navarro. Camillia will be evicted from the ranch with nowhere to go. sadly with with the death of her father followed by the loss of the ranch and the horses too, leaving her with the only option but to work for Matias, but he won’t hire women to work for him because they always fall in love with him. How can Camillia convince Matias Navarro to give her job with her horses that he now has? What I liked about this story is that the it relates to true life. We all lose someome close to us in life. And there are people that one reason or another run into debt, with for some it becomes devastating that their home becomes repossessed. In The Spaniard’s Untouched Bride both Camillia and Matias have troubles within their family and it’s just like in true life we all at some point have family problems. I recommend Maisey Yates books as she is without question a genuine really good story teller.

Fun, passion and a rollercoaster of emotions

Rating By Jane,30/11/2018

What if you lost everything you loved, you'd fight to get it back, wouldn't you?  That's exactly what Cam does, even if it means pretending to be a boy to get to be with her beloved horses. An unfortunate event brings her into close proximity with the owner Matias and then she's really in trouble. Matias is used to being pursued but he is completely floored when he finds out Cam's secret. He offers a marriage of convenience but their bodies and emotions have other ideas. This is an emotional romance using well-loved tropes of mistaken identity and marriage of convenience. The characters are believable and likeable. The story has plenty of heat, fun and a rollercoaster of conflicts and emotions, which threaten the chance of a happy ever after. I enjoyed this romance but felt it should have been more detailed, lots of issues are alluded to but not fully explored, despite their importance to the characters' emotional development.  I received a copy of this book from Mills&Boon via NetGalley in return for an honest review.
