London, 1836

Lady Sarah Dryden once dreamed of marrying for love. But with the threat of scandal looming over her whole family, she must secure a wealthy husband—and quickly! If only her heart didn’t already belong to the irresistibly tempting, and entirely unsuitable, Benedict DeBreed…

Despite his well-deserved reputation as one of London’s most notorious rakes, Benedict wants nothing more than to claim Sarah as his bride. And before he loses her to another in a loveless marriage, he’ll use his legendary powers of seduction to show her exactly what she could expect with him as a husband!

Rakes of the Caribbean

Rating By Julia,25/02/2015

Series Rakes of the Caribbean 1 _ Craving the Rake’s Touch ______ 01/15 ~~~( Benedict and Sarah ) Historical Undone ebook 2 _ Playing the Rake’s Game ______ 01/15 ~~~( Ren and Emma ) 3 _ Breaking the Rake’s Rules ______ 02/15 ~~~( Kitt and Bryn ) There are two stories that run at the same time, Craving the Rake’s Touch which is under the Historical Undone ebooks and Playing the Rake’s Game. Ren and Sarah are brother and sister. The story starts with a house party arranged by Sarah. The solicitors told her that their situation is dire. Ren has left for the Caribbean to try to solve the family’s financial problems. Their mother has locked herself away and does not want to deal with the creditors and Sarah is tired of it too. She sees only one way out of the problem and that is to marry money. The house party has several men and women all with marriage on their minds. Sarah tries to not allow their financial problems show but she knows it is only a matter of time. All goes well until Benedict DeBreed walks into her life after 3 years. Benedict charges from London with news for Sarah. His hopes are to marry her, but her dislike of him is clear. He decides to give it a go anyway, which leads to several encounters. Benedict is a friend of Ren. When they were younger Benedict spent much time with the family thinking of them more like his family instead of the one he had. As time went on he fell more in love with Sarah. 3 years before, their relationship comes to a head in an encounter that leads Benedict to ask for her hand. Her father refuses saying that he is not the type of man he wants his daughter marrying. He makes Benedict promise that he would say nothing to Sarah or Ren and that he was to stay away from Sarah from now on. Sarah knew nothing of this but during the house party picnic Benedict decides to tell her. They arrange things to their mutual benefit and then Benedict gives her what she really needs but you will have to read that bit for yourself. The story is fun and after reading it second to “Playing the Rake’s Game” I feel I should have read this one first, it was a better start as it gave little away, whereas book 2 gives you a great amount of information and is definitely worth the time to read. This story is quick but just as wonderful.
