It a nice book and i wish to read it as soon as possible

An atypical but amusing Modern

Rating By R,21/10/2014

In many ways this an atypical M&B especially in the Modern genre. It is humourous- even some of the sexual scenes - and almost light-hearted although Mikael has a dark past however this is very much kept in the background. His ruthless streak is fashioned by this and yet he is almost instantaneously in love with Layla although he knows he cannot "touch" her. Layla is incredibly naive and spoilt but headstrong and stubborn - only to be expected in the circumstances but as her character develops you can't help but like her. Although Layla is an Arab Princess most of the story is set in Australia with some reference to the dynamics of Layla's situation. There is one issue concerning Layla which is thrown up near the end which is unfortunately left unresolved however while this is possibly not the type of book you would want to read in this genre regularly, as one-off this works and is intriguing and highly enjoyable. Ten out of ten

Hilarious

Rating By Aline,29/10/2014

I agree with the previous review, it's atypical M&B Modern but nonetheless i think it's one of Carol Marinelli's greatest books. The dialogues are so funny and witty and I could see why Mikael fell in love instantly because Layla is extremely lovable and she keeps surprising the reader to the very end thus getting everybody quickly attached to her.

A real page turner Romance to be read at one go! Superb!

Rating By Arpita,24/11/2014

Carol Marinelli is a classic romance writer whose stories are always so engrossing , filled with brilliant repartee, extremely sensual and deals sensitively with emotional issues rather than with physical impairments! This story of Modern genre fulfils all that and more! Layla and Mikael find a perfect match in each other and the reader is kept on tenterhooks till the last sentence. Marvellous indeed. Triple A* for this story.
