An exquisite debut by Rachael Thomas of Modern genre Romance !

Rating By Arpita,28/10/2014

This style of writing will place Rachael in the ranks of the great Romance writers like Chantelle Shaw, Lynne Graham, Melanie Milburne, Jacqueline Baird, Abby Green, Kate Hewitt! The story depicts intense attraction between Georgina and Santos, as it should be, very gripping dialogue between the two of them, not much of extraneous detail which more often than not distracts the reader’s attention span! Rachael has hit upon the right template for this genre of fantasy and am sure with me, there are others who are looking forward to her next story!

An Absolutely stunningly good debut!!

Rating By Karim,13/12/2014

This was a rollercoaster read from the start and Rachael Thomas has set her bar extremely high with her first book from creating a heroine who took on the hero and proved to be his match, thru to sustaining a story which focused mostly on the two of them throughout is truly impressive. An eye catching cover always has it's worth and I could picture Goergina and Santos throughout the story. I have read a number of MODERN authors for the first time this year, but Rachael Thomas is destined to be a real star of the MODERN genre for many years to come if her stunning debut is anything to go by!! Brilliant!!

4.5 out of 5 stars

A DEAL BEFORE THE ALTAR by debut author Rachael Thomas is a Harlequin Presents release for October 2014. Georgina Henshaw was prepared to do anything for her sister’s happiness, even go as far as getting married to Santos Ramirez as a business deal only. But the sparks that flew when Santos touched her made sure the marriage couldn’t be in name only. But Santos had been hiding something and what would happen when Georgie finds out? Would she stay in this marriage? Could she stay in this marriage after finding out that Santos had no heart to love? Or would she be able to melt the ice surrounding Santos heart? A DEAL BEFORE THE ALTAR is a romance filled with red-hot passion and tender moments. Rachael Thomas did a great job of bringing Georgie and Santos together when it seemed it was impossible for them to ever reach a compromise. Highly recommended read for all lovers of romance.

Good debut

Rating By R,15/09/2014

A good debut novel from Ms Thomas although there were several aspects which were slightly disappointing for me although one big plus is that she didn't go down the fast becoming tired old road of having an Italian hero. I enjoyed the author's writing style and there was good tension between the characters. Santos very much a modern M&B hero although I'm not sure I could ever really trust him. Georgina I did like although I never fully got to understand her character. Since it is mentioned almost at the beginning of the book I don't think it is a spoiler in saying that she had had a number of one night stands in her past. For me this was unnecessary and I don't feel that it enhanced the plot. Furthermore I never felt the dynamics of her relationship with her first husband and her sister were FULLY explained which was offputting. However, I did find that my interest was held throughout the book and I would look forward to her second novel with some interest. Eight out of ten
