When the devil commands…
Nikos Demakis’s plan is set. With his eye firmly on the CEO position at his grandfather’s business he will finally lay his past to rest. And Lexi Nelson holds the key. She might resist, and she’ll definitely try to negotiate, but Nikos always gets what he wants.
Lexi has never met anyone like Nikos. The power that he exudes is almost overwhelming. Almost. She’s determined to prove that she’s more than a match for him – but as the playing field changes from power to passion it soon becomes a battle of wills that she’s not sure she wants to win!

This set off on the wrong foot for me when Nikos abused his power to successfully obtain sealed records on Lexi which I found disturbing.
After an initial bright start the plot became rather slow moving. Nikos was obsessed with becoming CEO of his grandfather's company and trying to protect his sister to the exclusion of everything else which muted his character while Lexi could have stood up for herself more.
I liked this better than the author's last outing and while it didn't set the pulses racing it was a fair enough read.
Six out of ten
A superb Modern genre Romance!
What an improvement from the last story I read, ‘The last Prince of Dahaar’. Here in this story there is romance, passion, riveting dialogue, brusque and curt between Nikos and Lexi which makes it so interesting to read. The hero is to die for, as he manifests so much of love in actions which can win over any woman more so a winsome heroine like Lexi who has undergo much hardship in her early years. It all ends happily for the macho hero and heroine. Excellent Tara Pammi, a ten out of ten for you. Please write more stories on this style of template.
