The Modern logo is: " Power, passion and irresistible temptation" but this might be better suited to the Cherish line since it doesn't really meet that criteria. In many ways it is more a warm-hearted family story with a paucity of tension. I found Dante quite muted, someone who supremely expected his own way in everything although to be fair he was hit with a bombshell but his behaviour when he first met Rose was reprehensible which I couldn't forget. I particularly liked Rose who made the best of her life and was strong enough to make a stand against Dante. One of those pleasant enough reads but easily forgotten. Six point five out of te I particularly liked Rose

Just 'enough' for me...

A GOOD BOOK!! ^^ I felt as if Dante was a stalker sometimes because he kept following Rose around, watching her with his intense eyes. I love him! And, I like how he managed himself when he heard about Bea being his child. It showed how a loving father he is! I disagreed with Rose for taking a long time to tell Dante about their child. But, the story was good! Overall, this book was just enough for me to quench my thirst of romance story. Not that good, but not that bad either, just nice! Good job, Catherine. ^^

Hugely satisfying!!

I have not read this author much, however the eye-catching cover drew me to it and I was pleasantly surprised, by what was a well crafted story. I did think the tension between hero and heroine didn't sizzle and zing as much as in other MODERN but this was a very well crafted story by an author with a deftness of touch who I felt always had a control of the story she wanted to tell and made it compelling to the reader. I shall be definitely reading other Catherine George titles on the strength of this one!!
