I’m trying to be honourable, Grace.
'I advise you not to push me.'

How on earth did Grace Chandler think she could fight billionaire Emilio Santana for custody of her stepsister’s orphaned baby? The boy is, after all, the last Santana heir. When Grace agrees to act as nanny, suddenly they’re closer than either had imagined…

But can they trust each other enough to pursue the passion pulsing between them?

Different and interest holding

Rating By R,06/04/2014

In these days of overkill where a heroes of Italian ancestry are a dime a dozen and occasional forays into South America usually throw up an Argentinian with the odd Brazilian it was really refreshing to have a character with a Peruvian background and I thoroughly enjoyed the setting. Although he did have a selfish streak Emilio was a captivating hero while Grace was a strong and compassionate heroine. I was confused as to why when Grace's sister had appointed her guardian of "The Santana Heir" and she had permission in writing from the deceased father why she thought her adoption could be queried? but the plot moves on apace and there are a couple of unexpected twists to hold your interest. An unexpectedly good beginning to my reading of May's Moderns.

Good enough to read

This is my first book of Elizabeth Lane. A good book to read. Good job, Elizabeth Lane. The story might not be so intense like others that I’ve read, but it is a worthy book. Emilio is so cold in the beginning when he keeps on calling Zac, ‘the boy’. Grace is such a sweetheart to Zac. I love how the story shows Emilio watching Grace do her motherly stuff. It is so heartwarming. But I can’t believe that Zac is not the heir. Such a twist! The ending is good, at least the couple got their own baby instead of having to adopt again for more children. Overall, the story line is good. Two thumbs-up, Elizabeth!
