This was an interesting if somewhat curious read. Curious because the heroine's scars are revealed on page one then not really discussed again until the very end of the book. The developing relationship between the hero and heroine was done well, with just the right amount of medical detail.

Sweet family Medical

Rating By R,15/03/2014

The plot where one of the characters has previously been in a relationship with the brother/sister of the other and having a child with them is occurring reasonably frequently now and it is not one which I personally like. Jane is an admirable heroine who has come through some emotionally hard times and you do feel an empathy with her. While Sean is likable he comes over as rather tame and lacking a bit of oomph. The medical aspect in particular is good but the family theme which is an important part of the plot is just too sweet for my taste. This is set in Adelaide, Australia but for some reason the author has used Irish names. I could understand the family perhaps being of Irish descent but even the restaurant owner, Jane's previous boyfriend etc all had them which I found rather odd. Mrs Clark generally writes a good story but this one just wasn't my cup of tea. Six out of ten
