Stepping into the spotlight with Caspar St Claire!

When news breaks that Dr Caspar St Claire is to film his new reality TV show at Blue Lake Hospital, hearts are all aflutter! With his brooding good looks and hypnotic green eyes, the handsome paediatrician is the show’s hottest star!

Obstetrician Annie Simpson’s private life has been splashed across the media before, and she’s determined to avoid the limelight – and Caspar.

Only the heat of his gaze is more disconcerting than the camera – and, after years of hiding, a fling with Caspar is what cautious Annie needs!

Good premise

Rating By Lucy,16/08/2013

I loved the premise of this story with the celebrity TV doc sweeping into town with his TV show. But I think because I was so looking forward to reading it, it just didn't quite live up to the promise. The medical detail was interesting, Caspar the hero was to die for, but Annie the heroine just missed the mark for me slightly. Still an enjoyable read.

Fails to hit potential

Rating By R,16/07/2013

Set in the coastal town of Mount Gambier in South Australia this has an intriguing plot of filming for a reality TV show inside a hospital. While both Caspar the show's star, also a qualified paediatrician and Annie, a doctor who has had problems with the media in her past are likeable it was rather difficult to identify with them their personalities being surprisingly bland. It was hard to believe that Annie could have been so naive in a major plot twist towards the end of the book. While all the trappings for a great read were there it moved along rather slowly and somehow failed to really take off but was enjoyable enough. Six point five out of ten
