Has this Caffarelli finally met his match?

Millionaire playboy Raoul Caffarelli has always lived life in the fast lane. But when an accident confines him to a wheelchair – and to the care of a woman whose beauty taunts him – he’s consumed with rage and frustration.

Used to difficult patients, physical therapist Lily Archer won’t be cowed by Raoul’s arrogance or distracted by his Adonis-like physique. Carrying her own scars from the past, Lily has vowed never to relinquish her power to a man again. Both underestimate the power of the shared passion between them.

Their physical scars may heal, but some wounds run much deeper…

Although I found the heroine Poppy in the first of this series easier to emphasise with this was still a tight atmospheric read which had a compelling quality and as the hero was inavlided after an accident but none the less sexually vibrant it gave the story an extra impetus. Melanie Millburne is such a talented experienced author that she pulled this unsual aspect to the hero's character off superbly and thus delivered everything her legion of fans have come to expect from her books!!

Entertaining novel with a strong beginning full of tension, good dialogue and humour. Although both Raoul and Lily have flaws in their character, Raoul acting like a spoilt, petulant child even in the circumstances and Lily slightly lacking in backbone they come across as real and on the whole appealing. The story does tend to tail off in the second half and I was very disappointed that an incident in Lily's past which was brought to the fore and was responsible for shaping her current character was then "brushed under the carpet". Overall though an attention holding read. Eight out of ten
