When two bitter rivals…

The marriage might unite their warring families, but formidable Spaniard Alesander Esquivel is the last man on earth Simone would want to be in the same room with – let alone share a marital bed! …are forced to take one solemn vow…
Alesander’s strongest desire used to be gaining the final piece of his business empire – but now it seems there are more pleasurable diversions for the taking… Having a wife could be useful – especially to entertain him during those sultry hot Spanish nights!

A story of two halves
Italian heroes have now reached overkill proportions so with viticulture as the theme it was gratifying to see a Spanish background.
The first half of the book was utterly compelling with a quirky plot and a strong and compelling hero and heroine but then for some reason the author suddenly changed the dynamics of Alesander's character and it became hard to have any empathy with him.
The second half was unfortunately rather mawkish and disappointing.
Six out of ten
This was a fast-paced read from Trish Morey, which contained all the elements that make the MODERN series
so compelling, and there were moments in the story that brought a lump to the throat!! I think this is one of the
best Trish Morey titles I've read.
