‘We have made an application on behalf of Niklas Dos Santos to exercise his conjugal rights…’

Learning that the husband she’s tried to forget has spent the past year falsely imprisoned in Brazil and needs her to visit him is the last thing Meg Hamilton wants. But she will play her part in exchange for Niklas’s signature on the divorce papers!

Except she hasn’t bargained on their mind-blowing connection being as undeniable as ever. Last time it led usually sensible Meg into a Las Vegas wedding chapel. This time the consequence of giving in to their chemistry will bind her to Niklas for ever…

‘Carol is at the top of her game, I couldn’t put this book down!’ – Maurine, Maryland, USA

One of the best reads ever - can't recommend it enough

"Simply irresistible"

Rating By Aline,24/02/2013

I must say I totally agree with the previous reviews: fast paced, could not be out down, and has a twist of originality. The plot and the context made for several highly poignant moments throughout the book which added a notch to a great love story up till the very end. Excellent book.

Delightful surprise

Rating By R,31/01/2013

This is a real surprise as it is not the type of story I would normally expect from this author and I would never have guessed who it was but for the name on the cover! Niklas started off on a bad footing whingeing because he had to sit in business class as first class was full - get over it! - but this aside was a compelling and likeable hero while Meg was a tantalising combination of a strong yet family dominated heroine. Fast paced and all action, there were some unique situations in the plot making for a great read. Ten out of ten

How to rate this book - it's the best M&B I've read in a long, long time. It's lead characters are both have flaws but are totally believable. The story is gripping and I couldn't put it down till the end. An excellent read. Definitely 10/10.

five roses I agree with the other reviews; this has to be one of my all-time-favourite Moderns. Ms Marinelli maintains the fast pace whilst delivering depth of characterisation, deeply emotional, a unique plotline with an edge. One of those rare books that demands a re-read.
