He'd carved out his empire with hard work and steely determination. But now billionaire Gavin Mason's reputation was in question. All because he resembled a character in Violet Tandy's bestselling novel. Since he'd never even met the woman, she had some serious explaining to do. Seemingly innocent Violet claimed her work was pure fiction, but no one in Gavin's elite social circle was buying it. The infuriating beauty owed him big-time, and he found great pleasure in making her pretend to be his girlfriend. Still, Gavin wondered if having her this close would destroy his most prized status — that of confirmed bachelor.

He was as tall and dark as the devil… and was her family's hated adversary. But that didn't stop Selene Louvardis from wanting Aris Sarantos with her every breath. Or grabbing her one chance for a forbidden night with him. He was never supposed to learn she'd borne his child. But when Aris stormed back into Selene's life and discovered the truth, nothing would stop the ruthless billionaire from claiming his own. Not her family, not the billion-dollar contract at stake and certainly not something as inconvenient as love.

Misplaced titles

Rating By Mia-maria,21/08/2011

These two stories are of varying quality. I don't find that either of the titles fit the stories, although they are good titles. The first story is not that good, but the end is really good. The second story is fairly good but the end horrible. The stories, the characters and the language wasn't particularly good either.

A very refreshing heroine!

Rating By Vivien,01/07/2012

The first story in this book does come across as more Blaze than Desire, a very modern and witty story (you have to love a book where the heroine has sushi patterned pyjamas and cartoon cats on her sheets!). Both Violet and Gavin have come from very poor backgrounds, but Violet is a still relatively poor, free-spirited writer whereas Gavin has made himself into the stereotypical high-powered businessman. What makes this story so different is that Cinderella doesn't want to go to the ball, which makes a change from the normal run of the mill story where the poverty stricken heroine gets swept off her feet into a life of luxury - very refreshing. I liked the fact that Gavin really struggled to get Violet to see his point of view, which I found quite touching - and it was even better how she adamantly refused to embrace his lifestyle, even up to the end of the book (but I won't give the ending away!). I also liked the scene where Gavin was prepared to fight to defend Violet (quite literally) and his true self rose to the surface. Hotter than the average Desire, especially in the scene in Gavin's office where he has a fantasy about Violet (which he later asks her to enact), he reads to her from her own book and then they look at his office paintings. Best scene: The part where Gavin sees Violet's research material and realises what he has done to himself. With regard to the Olivia Gates book, I thought that this was a good story but for me it was written in a very old-fashioned and overblown way which at times became almost (unintentionally) funny. I really thought that phrases such as "her molten core" and "he smoldered at her over his shoulder" had gone the way of the dinosaur. If the writer had dialled down a bit, this could have been a decent book. I did like the fact that Selene was quite a strong personality and was not a pushover, and the "path of fire and flowers" was beautiful.

The Sarantos Secret Baby

Rating By Jennie Webbweaver Reviews,23/10/2012

WOW!! What an intense read. The last couple of chapters in particular had my heart beating so fast I had to calm myself down! Here's the deal- a strong, successful, sexy, pure alpha Greek tycoon who understands women and absolutely ADORES the heroine. And, a strong, successful, sexy heroine whose feminine strength matches his masculine strength and they compliment each other in the most fabulous ways !!! That's what we're dealing with here. Add a gorgeous baby and 3 over-protective Greek brothers into the mix and you've got yourself one hell of a story! Highly recommended!
