About Janice

My first four romance novels were co-authored with my mother, who was already a writer with a number of published mystery and children’s books. These were all sweet romances, I hasten to add – I’m not sure how comfortable we’d have felt co-authoring passionate love scenes!

I graduated from Whitman College with a BA in History and then studied for my masters degree in Library Science at the University of Washington. I was a branch librarian for a public library system right up until I began to sell my own writing.

I’m divorced and have raised my two daughters in a small, rural town north of Seattle, Washington. I’m an active volunteer and board member for Purrfect Pals, a no-kill cat shelter, and foster kittens often enliven a household that already includes a few more cats than I’m willing to admit to! I love writing books about both love and family that explore the way generations connect and the power our earliest experiences have on us throughout life.
