About Barbara

Hello, and thank you for stopping in to learn a bit about me and my books.

My husband and I are originally from the east coast and now live in the southwestern part of the United States, where we have gotten used to the desert heat and have taken up square dancing. We love seeing lizards in the front yard but, frankly, can do without the scorpions in the bathroom!

Among other things, I enjoy square dancing, walking, attending the theatre, crosswords and other types of puzzles, baking, and reading cookbooks – though I can't swear I make many of the recipes! Also high on the list are spending time with my husband, eating chocolate, and of course, reading and writing.

My books are short contemporary, family-centred category stories from Harlequin American Romance. In them, I always try to make sure to add a little humour, hunky heroes (including lots of ranchers and cowboys and sheriffs), feisty heroines, and a kid or three. My latest books have been set in the small town of Flagman's Folly, New Mexico, beginning with A Rancher's Pride

I am thrilled to announce there will be another Flagman's Folly story, Rancher at Risk, upcoming in January 2014.  The books do have continuing characters who visit in each others' stories – which I feel is a huge part of the fun of connected books – but each story stands alone.

I hope you will enjoy reading my stories and will find your own storytelling magic in them!

I'd love to chat with you. Please visit my website or find me on Facebook or Twitter if you'd like to get in touch.

Hope to see you out and about!

All my best yo you,

Barbara White Daille
