My dream of being a writer was conceived at an early age, in my rural home in West Virginia where I was born the youngest of eight children.
Despite the fact that my first manuscript Freedoms Call was rejected by eighteen different publishers – I went on to publish four non-fiction books and forty three works of fiction. My first inspirational romance was published in 1984.
In 1990 I retired from my twenty three year career of teaching in public schools to devote my time to freelance writing.
After spending many years travelling with my husband Rod, we have settled in West Virginia, in the very same community where I grew up.
