Despite a lingering fascination with AquaNet and Camaros, it seems I have finally outgrown my wild youth now that I've settled down to do what I really always dreamed of doing: writing romance novels.
Why Romance novels, you ask? Well, it all started when I was fourteen and I discovered Jane Austen. I read Pride and Prejudice in one day, fell in love with Mr Darcy, and decided that the only books I ever wanted to read again were ones that included some version of him. Before long, I'd consumed every Harlequin Romance in my local library – and so I decided to start writing my own. My first story featured a hero with a striking resemblance to Jon Bon Jovi. He drove a Camaro, naturally.
I spent most of my twenties working to pay for my extended trips to Europe and studying for a degree in Creative Arts. Somewhere along the way, I managed to snag my own hero and we currently live together in northern Nevada. Although I continued to write through those years, it wasn't until I turned thirty that I realised I wasn't actually getting any younger and it was probably about time I got to work on that long-held dream of writing romance novels for a living.
When I'm not writing, you can generally find me hiking Lake Tahoe, staring out of windows or making Martinis.
