I was originally a city girl and was transplanted to the country when I married my dear husband Richard. We raised four kids, foster kids and various animals. During this time my resumé gained some unique entries. Growing a garden, sewing blue jeans, baking, pickling and preserving. I learned how to handle cows, milk goats and cows, feed chickens, drive tractors, snow machines, ride a horse, and train a colt. Somewhere in all this I learned to write via various correspondence courses.
My first book, 'Homecoming' sold in 1997 to Love Inspired and since then I have sold almost forty books to three different publishers. I'm currently working on a new series of three books that take place in my fictional town of Hartley Creek tucked in the south east corner of British Columbia. I love going there to research and have already set five books there. I like to think my stories show a love of open spaces, the fellowship of my Christian community and the gift God gave us in Christ.
