I was not born pen in hand like so many of my fellow authors. After I quit work in 1994 to stay home with my first-born son and nearly went out of my mind, I started writing. Yes, I was the clichéd bored housewife writing romance, but it was either that cliché or seduce the mailman, and my mailman was unattractive.
After nearly thirty books for Harlequin, and three women-focused novels for Avon/HarperCollins, I admit my new mailman is gorgeous, but I'm still happy with my choice.
