I was born in Aberdeenshire, Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1968 where I met and married my husband. We’ve been married for thirty years and have two adult children. We’ve been empty nesters for several years now and enjoy having the house to ourselves. We love to spend our time traveling throughout Canada and the U.S. in our 'Getaway Van.'
As a child I was an avid reader and then as a teenager became hooked on romance novels. But it wasn’t until the children entered school that I sat down to write the stories I loved to read.
I entered a romance fiction competition and received an encouraging response from an editor. In 1987 I sold my third manuscript to Silhouette Books. A Tender Trail became a finalist in the Best Traditional category at the 1988 Romance Writers of America’s Annual Conference in Seattle.
I hope to continue to write the kind of stories readers love, because I believe there will always be a place for stories about men and women falling in love, stories offering an escape from the trials and tribulations of everyday life, stories that are positive, uplifting and joyful.
