Ever since I was a little girl, making my own books out of construction paper; I wanted to write. So when it came time to choose a major subject at the University of Wisconsin, the only subject I could choose was creative writing. Of course, that wasn't a very practical thing to do. One needs to earn a living. So I turned to jobs ranging from proofreading legal transcripts, to working with quarter horses, to washing windows. But no matter what I did for a living, I always wrote the type of stories that captured my heart and fired my imagination – romantic suspense stories.
I saw my first novel published by Harlequin Intrigue in 2000, and my wide variety of job experience became material for my stories. Since then, my books have been honoured with many award nominations and wins, including winning the prestigious Daphne du Maurier award for series romantic suspense.
Now I spend my days writing, reading, and enjoying life in my home near Madison, Wisconsin where I live with my husband, our two young sons, and our dog.
