About Wayne

I live on the island of Barbados, a tropical paradise with a long colonial past. I love reading romance. Brenda Jackson, Judith McNaught, Lindsay McKenna, Tami Hoag, Delores Fossen, Julie Miller and Rachel Lee are on my long list of favourite authors. In the mid 1970’s while in high school, I discovered Mills & Boon series books. While I enjoyed the romance, at the time I was more fascinated by the diverse and exotic settings. As an A Level Geography student, the stories transported me to places I’ve heard about but didn’t think I’d ever visit. I took exciting journeys to Holland with Betty Neels and to Australia with Mary Wibberley. Of course, my favourite authors at the time, Anne Mather, Anne Hampson, Violet Winspear,  Rachel Lindsey/Roberta Leigh, Charlotte Lamb and Carol Mortimer took me on visits to locations all over the world. I even remember Anne Mather writing a story set in Barbados. At the time, I couldn't contain my excitement!

In November 2005, I released my first romance with Harlequin Kimani Arabesque and since then I have written for the Harlequin Kimani Romance line, a category line which features African-American heroes and heroines. My dream of being published by Harlequin Mills & Boon had come true.

Along with writing for Harlequin, I am one of the hosts for the Harlequin Community in the US as well as a high school teacher of Literature, Theatre Arts and Communication. When I’m not writing or teaching, I’m curled up reading the latest release from one of my favourite Harlequin authors. As you can see, I have the perfect life!
