As far back as the fourth grade, I knew I wanted to be an astronaut. My best friend wanted to be an author, and so we argued about whose chosen profession was better. I soon discovered I had no aptitude for science, math or weightlessness. I've been writing ever since.
I graduated from Hastings College and the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary, where I learned my husband’s Greek skills far surpassed my own. Together we have served a variety of ministries in Iowa, South Carolina, Illinois, Wisconsin and Nebraska.
When I'm not writing, I spend most of my time working on my servant’s heart with my four children as relentless but adorable taskmasters. In my free time, I am an overly creative cook, a distracted reader and an avid gardener whose black thumb of death strikes fear into plants everywhere. I am forever grateful to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for his eternal love and forgiveness, to my family for their continued encouragement and support, and to my best friend from the fourth grade, who gave me the idea to write in the first place.
