I’ve been spinning stories in my head ever since I was a little girl – stories filled with handsome princes, mountainous lands and the magic we call love.
In the early 1990s, I took a break from my journalism career to raise my two sons. As a freelance writer and housewife, I began writing romance fiction as a diversion from potty training, Barney repeats and pre-bedtime meltdowns. With my computer on the dining room table, I wrote romantic suspense and romantic comedy novels starring mercenaries, figure skaters and senior citizens. (No, not all in the same book!)
Seven years later, after having been a finalist in the prestigious Golden Heart contest six times – I finally sold two of my books! I now write for the Intrigue and Nocturne lines.
I have been active in Romance Writers of America, having served as president, advisor and newsletter editor for three chapters. I volunteer to speak to groups about the life of writing, and have written articles for the Romance Writers Report and RWA chapter newsletters.
When I’m not writing, you'll find me at the movies (my other passion), hiking in the Cascade mountains or chasing any one of three cats out of the toilet. (The two dogs are well-behaved, thank you very much.)
