About Aimée

Aimee Thurlo is the pseudonym I use to write romance books in partnership with my husband, David. We've been married for forty-three years. We met one day when I moved next door to him and it was love at first sight. Three weeks later, we were married.

David was raised on the Navajo Indian Reservation and left Shiprock to complete his education at the University of New Mexico.

I was born in Havana, Cuba, and have lived in New Mexico for forty three years. We currently have three large standard poodles. We also have a mustang and an ex-rodeo horse.

We learned to write as a team by concentrating on what we each do best. David's very good with action scenes, I prefer the scenes that focus on gentler emotions, and those that build characterisation – who the people in the stories are – their dreams, their goals, the past that made them who they are now.

Our mysteries and vampire stories have been optioned by Hollywood, we've won the Willa Cather Award, New Mexico Book Award, and Romantic Times Career Achievement Award. We've also received many starred reviews in Publishers Weekly and Booklist.
