I was raised in a farming community, in practically the only part of Australia that's wet all year round. With little entertainment but reading and few to talk to but cows, it's no wonder I fell in love with books and eventually turned my hand to writing. Unfortunately ‘romance writer’ wasn’t listed in the careers handbook at my local school, so I pursued something I thought might make me a better living and I ended up teaching statistics and computing at my local university. I married, had kids, collected dogs, cats, chooks – the full domestic catastrophe – but my first love was romance writing. I eventually wrote my first full length novel while on family leave. Dare to Love Again was published in 1990 and still stands as a testament to a family's ability to survive on spaghetti and toasted sandwiches.
I’ve now written almost a hundred romances, involving serious housework avoidance. Luckily my family is tolerant and generally self reliant. They love reading and writing, too.
Finally… I’m a dreamer. I dream in the garden and call it gardening. I dream while travelling and call it research. I dream about romance and to my joy that dreaming is now my career.
I love to hear from my readers. Please feel free to contact me via my website.
