At three years old, I did Jack Benny impressions (or so my father claims). It must have been prophetic because I eventually performed stand-up and improvisational comedy in Los Angeles and Denver. Somewhere along the way I also co-wrote a joke book, How to Exercise with Your Computer, which landed me on the cover of National Lampoon magazine. By this point the writing bug had bitten, so I joined the Romance Writers of America and began to learn the craft of romance-fiction writing. Several years later I was thrilled to sell my first novel to Harlequin.
Since then I am proud to say that I have won several writing contest awards, including first place in the Colorado Gold, Romancing the Rockies, and Top of the Peak contests, and finalled for the Holt Medallion, Coeur de Bois Readers Choice, Award of Excellence, More than Magic, and Romance Writers of America RITA contests.
When not sleuthing, you'll find me hanging with my two Rottweilers (named Jack Nicholson and Aretha Franklin), working on a time-travelling PI series, and envisioning how Nick and Nora would behave in the 21st century.
