Resistance is futile!
Serena Scott knows that Finn St George is trouble with a capital ‘T’. Gorgeous? Yes. World-class racing driver? Yes. Shameless Lothario bent on self-destruction? Definitely! But Finn has finally caused one scandal too many – and Serena is charged with getting him back on track!
Finn loves his playboy lifestyle – after all, immersing yourself in beautiful women is much more pleasurable than raking over the bitter truths of the past. Serena’s unheard-of and infuriating resistance to his charms begins a battle of wills. Can she tame this bad-boy? Or will Serena become entangled in the sensual power of his hedonistic temptation?
‘Feisty and fantastic! Full of sass and sexiness, I loved this book!’ – Dawn, 43, Littleton

This is Parkers third book and my favourite to date (and given I how much I loved her first two that is saying something). The writing is Parker at her evocative best; she weaves a story of emotion and passion, interweaves dark and light and brings to life to two truly compelling characters.
Finn is the hero of all heros; a man who you know would protect you with his life and more. He is so troubled and so understandably flawed that he wrenches your heart even as you fall irrevocably for him. Serena is his perfect mate; she combines feistiness and vulnerability and evoked both my admiration and my liking. She truly is the the only woman who could tame Finn.
I don’t want to give away the story line but it is a page turner that enthrals and absorbs. Parker has written a glamorous setting that transports you to the world of racing and keeps you teetering on the very edge of your seat, willing that somehow Finn and Serena will heal each other and reach their happy ever after. I strongly recommend this book and if I could give it more than 5 stars I would.
It was kinda boring and kinda slow read
This was fifty shades of awesome! Sexy and sassy and humourous one minute then tender and beautiful and heart breaking the next. Finn......OMG Finn! There is something about this authors heroes that get me straight in the heart. He was witty and naughty and the repartee was laugh out loud but underneath he was so tortured and dark and damaged and I cried for him, my god did I cry at the 'everything is lost' moment at the end. I loved serena too, a fantastic departure from the standard M&B heroine, i thought she was brave and fascinating to read about. What a couple they made!. I don't want to give anything away because I think the tenseness of the story was huge bonus but I have got to say this is not one to be missed. Probably my favourite Modern in years. Just fantastic!
not my fav MB book
the book is quite repetitive and i find the whole story line to be quite dragging.
Victoria Parker is hands-down one of my favourite authors. I loved both her previous two Moderns and this one did NOT disappoint. Finn is a man you can't help fall in love with - very troubled and damaged but someone you know would walk over hot coals for you if he loved you. And Serena? Serena is the best kind of heroine - feisty with a hint of vulnerability. These two spark off each other in every way. A very sexy and passionate read with huge dollops of wit and glamour. Perfect.
