“It is not wise to make him angry…” …But Anton Pallis is livid!
As the adopted son of the Kanellis patriarch, he’s set to inherit the vast family fortune. Until it’s revealed there’s a true heir—in the rather appealing shape of Zoe Ellis. Zoe’s Greek heritage means nothing to her— and to be involved with the Kanellis dynasty is to be cursed with scandal!
Except now, it’s pounding on her front door—or rather, Anton is, in all his dark, chiseled glory. And she has no idea what he’s going to do next. …

Anton is not as unreasonable or objectionable as Ms Reid initially normally makes her heroes but in some ways this takes an edge off the character although Zoe is a larger than life. I was slightly disappointed in that I felt she rather betrayed her father.
The early confrontations between the pair are scintillating and as usual the author writes an entertaining story.
Eight point five out of ten
Haven't read anything by Michelle in a while (not exactly sure why not). This book had me hooked from the 1st page and I didn't put it down once. The characters of Anton and Zoe just sizzle on the pages. Recommended.
Will read again
This book had very clever dialogue and the heroine gave as good as she got. You could also feel the anguish of the heroine and could feel the way it affected him as well. I enjoyed this book and I'm looking forward to reading it again and I'm looking forward to buying Michelle Reid's next book.
michelle reid has kept up to her standards in spinning a wonderful story . Was very interesting all the way through. Heroine could have been less of a whiner.
But definitely worth a read and re -read. Hope Ms. Reid manages to right some more books in a year. 2 in a year feels so less that keeps us all in anticipation as to when she is going to come out with next one.
The Kanellis Scandal
The Kanellis Scandal was a wonderful read and having not read much of Michelle's work previously, her strong voice was a welcome find and one I will be adding to my autobuy list. Both Zoe and Anton were such lovable characters. Some might say, Zoe was a little immature but I loved her for it and Michelle Reid successfully pulled every ounce of emotion from her to balance her personality. The plot was rich and a little heavier than most Modern's, which made it one of my favourite books of the year.
