THE RUMOUR IS UP AND THE BANNS ARE READ: THE DISSOLUTE DUKE HAS FINALLY WED!

With a name synonymous with sin, and debauchery so shocking it is only spoken of in whispers, no one is more surprised than Taylen Ellesmere, Duke of Alderworth, when he finds himself forced to marry! Before the ink is dry on the register he turns his back on this sham of a marriage and leaves.

Three years later, having barely survived the scandal, Lady Lucinda has placed one delicately shod foot back in the hallowed halls of the ton when her husband returns. He has an offer she can’t refuse. And in exchange? Their wedding night!

Loved it!

I love beautifully tortured heroes and this book did not disappoint, the hero having a past I personally found significantly more tragic than any other M&B hero I have encountered. The heroine is strong, likeable and flawed and the storyline satisfactorily combines brutality with warmth and joy. Best Historical M&B I've read in a few months. 10/10!

Fast paced

An action packed story which completes the love lives of the Wellingham siblings. Taylen is fascinating and one of the most tortured and misunderstood rakes in M&B history while Lucinda (Wellingham)who makes wrongful accusations against Taylen in good faith is likable although I do think she could have given him some leeway when she came to know him better and I don't really appreciate her actions in holding out against him for so longlater in the book. From a personal point of view I didn't think the immediate explicit sexual scenes at the beginning were totally necessary but it was a compelling and satisfying read. Nine out of ten
