Very much in the usual Cathy Williams' mould using familiar plot devices but written so refreshingly and compellingly that you forget about the familiarity.
Leandro is an enigmatic character who likes to have his cake and eat and has the knack of always getting his own way and yet he is charismatic and someone you ca'tn help liking.
Emily is admirable and phlegmatic but I would really have loved to have seen her stand up herself and simply refuse to discuss her private life - even threaten harrassment!!
However, despite some issues which generally frustrate me, while I can't quite put my finger on the reason why I thoroughly enjoyed this from start to finish.
Ten out often
Not the best I've read ....boring hero, boring heroine , boring plot, .... zero stars
Another great Modern romance to be read at one go!
The hero is to die for as he is a macho, confident and extremely suave when the occasion calls for. The storyline revolves around Leandro and Emily so one’s attention is not taken up with extraneous diversions. The repartee is riveting as it is mostly brief and has irony at times. I expected there would be an Epilogue, but never mind. For me it is ten out of ten.
Actually it didn't made me so interested while am reading it .I didn't like this book .. it's kind of boring somehow
An enjoyable read...!
It's been totally random but I have read a few of this author's books this year and
I tend to find the pace of her books somewhat liesurely, however I this was an intriguing read and I didn't predict the revelation about Emily's intended fiancee until it was revealed towards the end, but although Leandro was a compelling hero of the type you'd expect from a MODERN he didn't come across as typically Argentinean and only token reference was made in regards to his homeland. Cathy Williams is a highly accomplished author and this is a credible addition to her canon but this wasn't her best and I feel obliged to give it four stars!!
