He needs her, but dare he admit it?
Everyone at the hospital has fallen under Heart Surgeon Dr Luke Davenport’s spell! But Anna Bartlett is certain the ex-army medic is hiding something. Actions speak louder than words, and the tightness of his grip and the shadows behind his once sparkling eyes don’t align with the words, ‘I’m fine. ’
She should remain professional, but Anna’s longing to be the one to save Luke from his nightmares – if only she can reach out to the man behind the brooding mask…
St Piran’s Hospital Where every drama has a dreamy doctor…and a happy ending

I found this Mrs Robert's best book in a long while - if not ever!- and also the best to date in the Penhally and St. Piran series.
The tortured Luke is a hero to die for and has a perfect match in Anna.
The climax is stunning - traumatic, humorous and touching - I was very moved.
If I do have one slight gripe it is that while there is a nice mix of medical and personal detail the author can sometimes use medical terms which I don't understand and go in to too much detail in describing operations which I find slightly offputting although it didn't spoil my overall enjoyment of this book.
10 out of 10.
I loved this - a terrific return to form by the writer
