A fantastic story however......
I enjoyed the story a great deal. There were some wonderful bits with the main characters coming close but not so close and the characters of grannie and auntie were a dream.
The story develops well and really shows you how conflict can affect others around you. Also it sees the light at the end of the tunnel within the story that I found brill.
The however is that the ending one of my pet dislikes is going through a story that has colour, adventure and moving characters only to be left flat with the ending. This ending didn't leave me totally flat but flat enough that I couldn't give it full stars.
I was hoping for conclusions to happen. I wanted the characters that everyone said was unreal to be discovered as real at the end. I wanted to hear that Hattie got home safely and was accepted back by her parents. I wanted a conclusion to how the christmas turned out, the reactions of grannie and auntie. So much was made of one aspect within the story but then you are sort of told but not fully and that is really annoying.
PLEASE can all you authors write a decent ending that allows the reader to have no questions left in the air.
It happens too often and drives me up the wall.
If you do a story for Hattie perhaps you can catch us up with Holly Jane, Colt, Grannie and Auntie. For the sake of the reader I was not pointing out the main annoyance but if you read the book which is a very good story you might have the same problem as me in the end.
Worth a read but needs an ending.
