I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, but after living in the Houston area for almost thirty years, I officially consider myself a Texan.
I’ve always been an avid reader and was eventually encouraged to start scribbling myself, by a good friend of mine who happened to be writer. After spending years discussing story ideas and critiquing each other’s work, we went on to sell our first books within just a few months of eachother. During the early years of my writing career, I loved having the freedom to work at home while raising my son, who has since grown and now attends college in Montana.
When I'm not writing, I enjoy sailing on Galveston Bay, where I crew regularly on a friend’s 42-foot sailboat. I attend the Houston symphony and Stages theatre, like to pot garden on my patio, and love to cook lavish meals to share with friends. I am still an avid reader, and I continue to enjoy travelling, especially to western Montana, either on my own or with my equally adventurous friends.
