A Good Start

I am excited by this story as the writer is new and she certainly knows how to write her characters. The story starts with such an unusually beginning and only got better and better. The bad guy and his men certainly were a good touch and that part was very well written to keep you guessing for the majority of the book. I love the details the writer gives for both her characters and for the situations they find themselves in. Mary is strong only some of the time and Lucas the Marquis within the story is a complex enough character to be a fantastic opposite to her. Mary's children are very cute and really enhance the story. I did find some parts a little slow but the story was interesting enough to keep me going. I would have given this an Excellent if the ending was a little more. It would be wonderful to see them married after all they went through and it would have been wonderful to read her meeting with her new stepmother and half brothers and also to get the reactions of the children to the new changes. They played a wonderful part within the story but were sort of left out of the ending. It would have been perfect if the above was covered in the ending.
