I grew up in the Pacific Northwest where I attended high school in Portland, Oregon. In 1991, I graduated from Harding University with degrees in consumer sciences and bible studies and then spent the next five years working with my husband as part of a team involved in training and church planting in West Africa.
Besides writing, I love to travel. Me and my husband have visited over twenty countries throughout Europe and Africa together, and I've also spent time in Japan and Brazil. One of my favourite pastimes is learning to cook different exotic dishes from around the world.
My husband and I, along with our three children, are currently working in Southern Africa as church planters. I speak French and am learning Portuguese ahead of our work in Mozambique. Life is busy between ministry and home-schooling, but I love my time to escape into another world and write, and I see this work as an extension of my ministry.
