When Elaine gives her business presentation to Marco De Luca she thinks she can be cool, calm and collected. She’s wrong! The fierce tycoon can see straight through her shapeless suits and scraped back hair and get right under her skin… Ruthless awakening!
She may have proposed marriage as the perfect business arrangement, but suddenly Elaine’s not quite so confident. Marco’s made it clear that he’s no modern man – if he takes a wife he wants a ravishing beauty by his side, and at his beck and call day…and night!

Totally Tugged The Heartstrings
What can I say? I like literally finished this book minutes ago and I want to go back and read it. I've been reading Harlequins for nearly two decades and because of stories becoming repetitive and me becoming jaded, I just didn't appreciate and enjoy them the way I did when I first started reading them...Until now! Seriously, I dont know how she did it but she did it. Maisy Yates wrote an originally awesome book that tugged at the heartstrings and not only had me suspending belief but convinced at the end there would be absolutely no chance for a happy ending. I loved Marco, seriously, a lovable, lustable arrogant hero is a hard thing to write. I loved Elaine too with her mixture of innocence and determination. Great read, great, great read. Miss Yates is definitely on my autobuy list.
Great first book!
I really enjoyed this, believable and funny in parts. I love Maisey's writing voice and will be reading her future books! Well done Maisey on your debute book!
His Virgin acquisition
Wow... Can not believe that this is a first novel... looking forward to the next one already. Rock on Maisie
This might be my favourite mills and boon this year - Elaine is a brilliant character and I completely loved her.
The book is really witty and well-written.
I liked Marco too but like so many heros he is annoyingly slow to realise he's in love with a wonderful woman.
He also has that irritating "bad mother" baggage.
I like a man who can move on from his childhood experiences without taking them out on his poor girlfriend....
But overall a fantastic read and I will be looking out for more by this writer :)
