About Christyne

Thanks to my beloved aunt’s love of genealogy, I’ve discovered that both Louisa May Alcott and Harriet Beecher Stowe are members in my extended family tree on my mother's side – so I firmly believe my love of writing has always been my destiny.

My father served in the Air Force for twenty years which resulted in me being born in Taipei, Taiwan. I spent my youth growing up all over the world, before my family settled in New Hampshire in time for me to attend high school. I followed in my family’s rich military history and joined the United States Navy where I fell in love with romance novels after someone remembered women were serving aboard seagoing vessels and sent a box full of paperback romances to my first ship, the USS VULCAN AR-5.

I started pursuing my own writing in 2002, sold my first ever ‘finished’ manuscript in 2006 and made my first sale to Harlequin Special Edition two years later. I write contemporary romances full of life and love, with a hint of laughter and perhaps a dash of danger too. I love the challenge of the boy-meets-girl, boy-loses-girl, boy-gets-girl-back and the journey of joy and hardship two people go through. And there has to be a happily-ever-after or I’m just not satisfied.

When I’m not writing, I can be found hunting for treasures at yard sales and antique fairs, watching classic romantic movies and the great movie musicals of the 40’s and 50’s, and reading books by my favourite authors. I live in central Massachusetts with my family, a four-footed double-pawed black cat who rules the house and a shelter-saved pup named Harley (short for Harlequin) who really thinks he's a cat too! Please feel free to visit me at my website – I'd love to hear from you!
